Arthur Walters Jr., a veteran who recently celebrated his 104th birthday, credited two popular whiskey brands with his longevity, WJLA reported Saturday.

“People always ask, ‘What do you attribute it to?’ And I always say I have two good friends: Jim Beam and Jack Daniels,” Walters said.

The 104-year-old possesses a great sense of humor and claims that he has reached this impressive age without relying on any medications, the outlet noted. (RELATED: ‘He’s A Kid To Me’: 83-Year-Old Nancy Pelosi Brushes Off Concerns About Biden’s Age)

Walters joined the Air Force at age 22 after receiving his pilot’s license. Today, he is the sole surviving member of his squadron.

When asked what advice he would impart to the younger generation, Walters emphasized the importance of hard work and resilience: “Get back up and get back to it.”
