The White House called the House Republican effort to investigate the Biden family a “wild goose chase” on Wednesday, suggesting that the representatives have “misplaced priorities.”

The chairmen of the House Oversight, Judiciary, Ways and Means, and Intelligence committees have all worked to investigate the Biden family’s alleged ties to foreign sources based on information found on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop and separate probes of President Joe Biden’s alleged ties to his family’s foreign sources.

Ian Sams, a spokesman for the White House Counsel, responded to an image of the four chairmen seated together at an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower hearing before Congress on Wednesday.

“Despite years of obsession and countless wasted taxpayer dollars on a wild goose chase, the [House GOP] hasn’t offered a single credible piece of evidence of wrongdoing by the President,” Sams said. “This waste of time reflects the extraordinarily misplaced priorities of House Rs.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also responded to the IRS whistleblowers’ testimony Wednesday, saying Biden is focused on “lowering costs” for the American people and is not involved in “political stunts.”

The whistleblowers previously testified to the Ways and Means committee behind closed doors about alleged efforts from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to cover up for Hunter Biden. (RELATED: DOJ Attorneys Agreed With IRS Call To Charge Hunter Biden With Felonies, Whistleblowers To Testify)

On Wednesday, the whistleblowers alleged that prosecutors agreed the president’s son should’ve been charged with multiple tax felonies, but were prevented from doing so by White House appointees.

Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene previously told the Caller that staffers from House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means are in contact about the evidence on the Biden family, and are beginning to “draw lines and connect our investigations.”

Oversight produced a report claiming that members of the Biden family received $10 million from foreign sources like Romania and China while Joe Biden was vice president. The committee’s members also obtained access to a FD-1023 FBI informant report alleging that Joe Biden was directly involved in a “pay-to-play” scheme with a foreign national, Greene said.

The House Judiciary committee is investigating how the IRS may have impeded an investigation into Hunter Biden, the Ways and Means Committee had the first IRS whistleblower testimony, and the Intelligence committee has vowed to investigate the president’s alleged relationship with his family’s foreign source ties.
